Our work on life cycles has continued in the Nursery this week. The children have been learning all about how butterflies grow to become so beautiful. We have been finding out how the life cycle of a butterfly starts with an egg, then a caterpillar, a catacomb and finally a beautiful butterfly.

The children are currently making a 3D butterfly to display in the Nursery. We have also been looking at how butterflies have a symmetrical shape. The children have been using their ICT time to create a mirror image of the wings of a butterfly

Our PE time in the Nursery has also been minibeast based! We have been thinking about how butterflies move, and then trying to copy this. Finally, butterflies have also been keeping the children busy during our maths lessons. We have been using the butterfly shapes to help us with our counting. You can watch a video of this above!
